  • Chili PowderChili Powder1 teaspoon
  • SaltSalt1 teaspoon
  • Black PepperBlack Pepper1/2 teaspoon
  • Chicken or Vegetable BrothChicken or Vegetable Broth1 cup

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) or preheat your slow cooker/crockpot to the low setting.
  2. 2In a small bowl, combine the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
  3. 3Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder, ensuring it is evenly coated.
  4. 4Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned.
  5. 5If using an oven, place the seared pork shoulder in a roasting pan or Dutch oven. If using a slow cooker/crockpot, transfer the pork shoulder directly to the pot.
  6. 6Pour the chicken or vegetable broth around the pork shoulder. The liquid will keep the meat moist during the cooking process.
  7. 7If using an oven, cover the roasting pan or Dutch oven with a lid or foil. If using a slow cooker/crockpot, cover with the lid.
  8. 8Place the pork shoulder in the preheated oven and cook for approximately 4 hours, or cook in the slow cooker/crockpot on low for 8 hours, until the pork is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
  9. 9Once cooked, remove the pork shoulder from the oven or slow cooker/crockpot and let it rest for a few minutes.
  10. 10Use two forks to shred the pork, pulling it apart into bite-sized pieces.
  11. 11Serve the pulled pork hot, either on its own or as a filling for low-carb wraps or lettuce wraps.
  12. 12Enjoy the flavorful and tender Keto Pulled Pork!
